Terms of Service
Last updated 5 November 2026
Halo is a ticketing platform. Independent event organizers use Halo to sell tickets, check guests in at the door, and message their guests. Halo is run by a sole proprietor based in Providence, Rhode Island, United States. These terms apply to everyone who uses haloevents.app: buyers, account holders and organizers.
Agreement
By making an account, buying a ticket, or listing an event, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Halo.
Halo and organizers
Each event on Halo is run by its organizer, not by Halo. The organizer is responsible for the event itself: the venue, lineup, age rules, entry, safety, and anything promised on the event page. Halo provides the ticketing, payments, accounts, door check-in and messaging tools. Questions about an event go to its organizer first. We can help put you in touch.
Age and ID
You must be at least 18 to make an account or buy a ticket. Organizers can set a higher age for their event. Bring valid photo ID. An organizer or venue can refuse entry for age, ID or behavior.
Your account
- You need a mobile number you control. We text a code to prove it is yours. Use your real name.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- One person per account. We can suspend accounts used for fraud, chargeback abuse, ticket resale, or harassment.
- You can delete your account from Account settings. Ticket and payment records are kept for accounting and fraud checks.
Tickets, prices and fees
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Halo never sees or stores your full card number.
- Halo charges a service fee of about 10% plus $0.99 per ticket. For each event the organizer chooses whether the buyer pays this fee or the organizer covers it. The full price is shown before you pay.
- Each QR code admits the number of people shown on it, one scan each. The first scan wins, so do not share your code.
- You can send a ticket to a friend for free from your account where the organizer allows it. Once they accept, it is theirs.
- You may not resell tickets. Resold tickets can be canceled without a refund.
- Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
Text messages
When you make an account or buy a ticket, we text you about it: sign-in codes, ticket confirmations, transfers, refunds, and important changes to an event you hold a ticket for. These are not marketing.
Marketing texts from an organizer only go to people who tick that organizer’s separate marketing box. Consent is never a condition of buying. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Chargebacks
Please contact us at support@haloevents.app before disputing a charge with your bank. If you file a dispute instead, we may cancel the tickets on that order and close the account.
Organizers
- Organizers must give true event details, hold the rights and permits needed to run the event, and follow the law, including age and alcohol rules.
- Ticket money is paid out to the organizer’s bank through Stripe after the event, minus Halo fees and any refunds. Halo may hold back part of a payout for a period to cover refunds and chargebacks.
- The organizer is responsible for refunds and chargebacks on their events, including when an event is canceled or changed. Halo may take these amounts from future payouts.
- Organizers may only text guests who agreed to receive texts, must include a way to opt out (Reply STOP), and must stop texting anyone who opts out.
- Organizers may only use guest data to run and promote their own events, and may not sell it.
- We can remove an event or close an organizer account for fraud, misleading listings, high refund or chargeback rates, or breaking these terms.
Limits on our responsibility
Halo is provided as is. We are not responsible for how an organizer runs an event. As far as the law allows, Halo’s total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the fees Halo received on the tickets involved. These terms are governed by the laws of Rhode Island.
Changes and contact
